Becoming a Chartered Civil Engineer in 1976, throughout his distinguished career, Alan has worked for local and central government as a consulting engineer. Between 1993 and 2000 Alan was National Advisor for Access to Bridges for the Scottish Executive. He founded Alan White Design in 1998 as an independent consultant specialising in Temporary Works, Access Engineering and Structural Design.
