Seminar Terms & Conditions

In these terms and conditions the following words shall have the following meanings:

"Site" means this web site. "We", "Us", "Our" "SSL" means Special Structures Lab Ltd, our colleagues, guest presenters and partners.

"You", "Your" means the person named on the booking form or the organisation paying the booking fee.

Once we receive the details of your booking request we will confirm that your booking has been accepted by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your booking form. Our acceptance of your booking brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.

Payment

Payment of the course fee is in advance. Either on line or by cheque or by BACS.

Course Materials

Course materials are prepared solely for the benefit of delegates and are not a substitute for legal or professional advice. Neither the authors nor Special Structures Lab Ltd accept responsibility for loss howsoever occasioned to any person or persons arising from reliance on such materials.

Warranty

The company will use all reasonable care and skill in providing the training your order under the agreement, including the use of suitably qualified and experienced trainers. However we make no warranty as to the results attained by attending our seminars. Furthermore, any decisions delegates make having received our training are their own and they remain wholly responsible for their actions.

Except as expressly represented otherwise, and to the extent not prohibited by law, all training including any documentation provided by or on behalf of the company to the delegate is furnished on an "as is" basis without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise especially as to quality, reliability, timeliness, usefulness, sufficiency an accuracy. The company cannot be held liable for any claim of any kind, including negligence, for any loss or damage arising out of, connected with, or resulting from the seminar. In no event whatever shall the company be liable for any incidental or consequential damages including but not limited to damage to property, injury or death, or any other loss that may result directly or indirectly from any of the use of the training provided by the seminar. The company also disclaims any liability for delegates who incorrectly select the wrong seminar in error.

Substitutions

Delegates may be substituted at any time at no additional cost, provided it is done in writing and an acknowledgment by us received.

Cancellation By You

You may cancel your contract at any time up to 30 days before the event at no penalty.

All cancellations must be in writing. For bookings canceled at least 30 days (by 5.00pm) prior to the course date we will refund the course fee. For bookings canceled after that date the course fee remains payable and is non-refundable.

Cancellations By Us

We reserve the right to alter or cancel the event at any time including timetables. The seminar may be canceled if too few bookings are received, in which case we will

notify you approximately 10 days before the seminar to refund your booking fee. This also includes over subscription.

We reserve the right to refuse admission, without explanation.

We will expel anyone interfering with the events activities or conducts themselves in a manner which interferes with the enjoyment of the event for others.

We hereby exclude to the fullest extent permitted by law any liability for breach of contract in excess of the seminar fee paid.

Liability

To the extent not prohibited by law, the company will not be liable for any consequential, incidental, special or other indirect damages arising from these terms. In the event that the company fails to provide training in accordance with these terms, our entire liability and the client's exclusive remedy shall be for company to refund all fees received from the client. In no event shall the aggregate liability for damages against the company, its employees or agents, arising from these terms whether by contract or tort exceed the amount the client has actually paid. To the extent not prohibited by law, the limitations in this section shall apply to personal injury and death. Under no circumstances are we, or our agents, liable for claims for loss or damages to your records or data, special incidental or indirect damages for any economic consequential damages (including loss of profits or savings) even if we are informed of the possibility.

Copyright

All rights reserved. No part of the training material may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form, or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, or otherwise, without the prior permission in writing of the copyright owner. Any audio or video recording or photography of our seminars is prohibited unless permission has been received in writing in advance. We reserve the right to eject offenders and to confiscate recording or photographic material without liability of any kind whatsoever to the company, its employees or agents, and without refund of fees paid. You accept our ownership of the seminar materials which is and remains the copyright of Special Structures Lab Ltd.

Ownership and quality of information

Legal and beneficial title to all intellectual property rights existing in any documentation, data, know-how, methods and concepts used or developed by us in providing training seminars, shall, as between you and us, belong to and will remain vested in us. All conditions or warranties (whether express or implied by statute or common law arising from conduct or previous course of dealing or trade custom or usage or otherwise) as to the quality of the seminar materials we supply or their fitness of purpose (even if that purpose is made known expressly or by implication to us) are expressly excluded.

Other

The information and data ("personal data") which is provided by you in connection with this website will be held on the computers and manual records of SSL, and will be used by us and our partners for matters relating to the seminar only.

A person who is not a party to this agreement has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to affect our agreement.

Disputes arising here from shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to change the seminar content and/or speakers, at any time, in line with market demands.

We reserve the right to alter or cancel published dates and change venues without liability.

These terms and conditions, together with our current website prices and privacy policy, set out the whole of our agreement relating to the booking of seminars by you with us. Save for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, we shall have no liability for any representations being untrue or misleading.

We will not be held responsible for any event or happening which is related to the venue or anything else other than the seminar and our organisation of the seminar.

SSL does not directly endorse any of the trade sponsors helping with the event.

We may video the event and take pictures purely for in house promotion by SSL and its seminar partners.

Force Majeure. We will not be liable to the client or be deemed in breach of contract by reason of any delay or failure to perform any of the company's obligations in relation to the seminar if this was due to any cause beyond the company's reasonable control.
