Guild Of Tentmasters Announces New Initiative
The Guild Of Tentmasters, representing those who work with large portable structures, has re-launched itself. The Guild, formed in 1992, has admitted that it has been 'effectively dormant' and intends to take a much more active role in the future. With the release and implementation of the EN BS 13782:2005, Temporary Structures – Tents – Safety, the revised IStructE (Institution of Structural Engineers) Guidance on procurement, design and use, and the temporary structure issues over the tragic events of the summer of 2011, the Guild feels that a forum is required to assess the implications for all who work with temporary structures.
