The Guild Of Tentmasters was originally started in 1991 and resurrected in 2000. By the admission of its members it hasn't done much to help the tent business in that time.
large stages are frame tents by some definitions as they are covered with fabric. With the new imperatives that have resulted in the holding of the seminar, it is felt that regular dialogue between all parties who work in the specialised area of special structures for event and in particular very large structures, that the guild can have relevance and be usefull in this matter.
We are therefore suggesting that all seminar members make use of the free registration for associate guild membership and that regular email contact can be combined into a newsletter which focus's on the area of tents and large stages.
If this can be done, then some form of dialouge can be maintained between, say, examining officers and the Guild.
The Guild Of Tentmasters is sponsoring the diner on the night between the two days of the seminar, all attendees are welcome. all attendees of the seminar will be emailed with a menu for the 3 course meal, to confirm preferences. the dinner will start with a couple of short speeches about what the future of the guild can be and then the attendees will be allowed to enjoy their meal.
